Schedule Mastodon posts on your own server
Tell Refract which server you're on and sign in there. Each post goes out with the visibility and content warning you chose, counted the way Mastodon counts it.
What you can post
Post
Up to 500 characters, counted the way Mastodon counts them.
Photos and video
Each with its alt text, posted once the server has them ready.
Visibility
Public, unlisted or followers only.
Content warning
Shown in place of the post until someone opens it.
What Refract checks for you
Checks run while you write, with a fix for each one. They come from the same rules the server uses, so a post that passes here won't be rejected later.
- Up to 500 characters, with the content warning counted too.
- Links counted at one short length, as Mastodon does.
- Alt text on every photo and video.
- Every file ready on the server before the post goes out.
Connecting Mastodon

- 02Sign in on that server's own page.
- 03Choose which workspace the account belongs to.
You sign in on Mastodon itself. Refract never sees your password.
